"Opiate" — знаменитый мини-альбом американской метал-группы Tool, выпущенный 10 марта 1992 года на лейбле Zoo Entertainment и вышедший за год до дебютного лонгплея команды, "Undertow". Альбом был спродюсирован Сильвией Масси и бывшим басистом Minor Threat Стивом Хансгеном. Он получил своё название благодаря цитате Карла Маркса: «Религия есть опиум народа». Мини-альбом был сертифицирован как «платиновый» в США, а когда в августе 2019 года Tool перевыпустили его для стриминговых сервисов, "Opiate" вошёл в несколько международных чартов.

This Volcano reissue uses a sleeve that still contains the Zoo logo and old cat# 72445-11027-1 while the labels have the Volcano logo and the updated cat#.Some copies from this pressing are known to have been mispressed: see - Opiate
When sealed, features an old style horizontal shrink overlap on the back.
Side B contains a hidden track, "The Gaping Lotus Experience", in a parallel groove.
Both it and "Cold And Ugly" lead into "Jerk-Off".
Sleeve differences from this pressing:
-The spine does not contain the name of the EP or the band.-The entire sleeve has a more reddish tint.
-The copyright information on the bottom rear is a less sharp font and colour.
-The Parental Advisory on the cover is part of the sleeve, not a sticker.
